In the Amharic language, Ethiopians have a saying, "የቆጡን ኣወርድ ብላ የብብቷን ጣለች" YeqoTun awerd
bla, yeb'btuan Talech…which means losing/dropping what’s already in one’s arm
pit while attempting to reach for something that is on a higher place.
Sometimes we observe either ourselves or others engage in this exact situation.
